Technically, no. We never chose the 2nd story, although I know the plan was to read Nnedi’s story (Spider the Artist) as she’s one of the GOH’s at WisCon.
Perhaps we should take a random stab at a second story now? Let’s say N-Words by Ted Kosmatka? (Unless there’s something else you’d prefer?)
I edited to list those stories. If anyone else prefers a different story, comment (or edit if you have editing rights) and whoever gets to it first will make sure the post is updated. Also, book group members, if you want to be able to edit the blog posts or have questions/concerns about the blog, let me know here or in e-mail.
We are currently on hiatus from the book group to focus our energies on Think Galacticon 3. We will be having a book group meeting before the convention to discuss the works of our notable guest N.K. Jemisin. The Think Galactic book group typically meets at 7:30pm the second Thursday of each month at Myopic Books, 1564 North Milwaukee Avenue, Chicago, IL 60622. Stay tuned for more information about our special book group before the con!
Think Galactic is a reading group devoted to discussing political Speculative Fiction from a radical left perspective (note: all are welcome as long as they are respectful of other participants).
Hey, was it decided which stories we would be discussing?
